Make mental health a priority at work

Two 30-minute talks open to all
Monday 10th October, at 9:30 and 12:30 | Spaces, The Maylands, Hemel Hempstead
HP2 7TG

Monday 10th October marks World Mental Health Day and this year Tania Diggory, Founder and Director of Calmer, will be delivering two special talks to mark the occasion at Spaces, taking place in the Café area.

The theme for World Mental Health Day this year has been set as Make mental health and wellbeing for all a global priority, and to highlight this, Tania’s talks will provide evidence-based insights on how you can prioritise your own wellbeing as well as support your colleagues. Each session offers a blend of theory and practical, actionable steps that you can implement straight away.

Come along to one or both talks on the day to feel informed, empowered and in control of your mental wellbeing:

9:30: Workshop One, Manage stress and prevent burnout

• Explore an overview of what good and poor mental health looks like, including common signs and symptoms

• Understand the difference between stress and burnout, and how to prevent it from escalating

• Learn practical techniques for nurturing good mental health and resilience

12:30: Workshop Two, Be kind to your mind through Mindfulness

• Build your self-awareness in your mind, body and environment to inspire a calmer working day

• Learn flexible approaches to meditation practices that aim to reduce feelings of overwhelm or anxiety, in any situation

• Learn empowering coping strategies for dealing with times of change, challenge and uncertainty

When you arrive, please make your way to Spaces to sign in and then join us at the Maylands Café area.
