How to turn a dream into reality

I love writing.

It's been a hobby of mine ever since I can remember, and in the past year and a half I made a commitment to myself to start writing professionally.

I had no idea where it would take me, I just knew that I felt ready (it took me a while to get there) and it suddenly became a new dream and mission of mine.

Over the past year and a half, I've published my first book This Is Calmer, I’m now a regular contributor to Psychologies Magazine (both online and print) and have had my articles featured in other reputable publications such as The Guardian, Forbes Magazine, Calm Moment, White Light Media and Beyond Good Business.

Who knew this was all on the cards for me since making that decision to write professionally? It’s amazing what can happen when you tune into your vision and stay focused on getting your message out there to wider audiences.

The power of consistency

So how did this happen? I believe that consistency, is key. Consistently working towards a dream will create that reality – however long it takes will be different for everyone.

My story is just one example of the magic that can happen when you make a commitment to yourself to achieve what feels really important to you – whatever it is and however long it takes you to get there.

Note that I said I've been writing my whole life; it's just over the past year and a half that I felt ready to take it to the next level. I believe timing is everything.

If you’re reading this and feeling like you have too much to do and not enough time in the day to make your dream a reality, then perhaps consider this… When something you want to achieve is really important to you, you feel inspired. Right? When true inspiration takes over, somehow you find the time to work towards making your dream a reality.

One step at a time.

Trust me, once you get into that flow, anything is possible.
